Anna Keene, LMT

Anna Keene, LMT (she/her)

Anna believes in the power of touch, the need for manual therapy and the body’s innate wisdom in healing itself. Through both listening to the body, and thoughtful communication, her collaborative approach will help you reach your specific goals. With her fluid motion and comforting style she aims to help her clients both physically and emotionally by addressing clients needs while holding a safe place for them to be heard and relaxed.

Anna incorporates an intuitive blend of deep tissue, myofascial, trigger point release and Swedish massage. Those techniques, along with her clinical education from Irene’s Institute of Myomassology will provide a thorough, soothing and effective massage.
Anna is especially great for those new to massage who may feel apprehensive to find their way to the table for the first time. With her calming presence and comforting energy you will find yourself at ease and quickly sink into deep relaxation. Prenatal massage along with focused work on the hips are areas of interest for Anna. Her experience as a mother has taught her the importance of self care during pregnancy and she is eager to help expecting mothers find comfort and support (ALL the pillows).

With a background in metal arts, Anna has always enjoyed working with her hands. She often dabbles in her workshop, but has been primarily doing massage for the past 4 years. As an Ypsi native she loves being part of the creative community here, spending time with friends and family, road trips and exploring new places.

‘I love the story that our bodies tell us through massage. It’s incredible to be in tune with our body’s systems and gain an understanding of how they affect us as a whole.’

We are thrilled to have Anna Keene at our Thrive Ann Arbor massage office!

You can find Anna on the schedule Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
