Jaclyn Rey, LMT
Jaclyn Rey, LMT (she/her)
As a Massage Therapist/Healing Arts Practitioner, Jaclyn is committed to bringing a blend of evidence-based and trauma-informed methods to the core of a client-centered session. Knowing that all individuals face different barriers to health depending on their background and lived experiences, it is important that all clients feel safe and held with compassion and understanding for the whole story of who they are, and their bodies tell that story. An interest in supporting others to become aware of their bodies holding patterns and offering relief through therapeutic touch is what drove her to study Massage Therapy. She embodies a reassuring presence and calm invitation for clients to relax their nervous system and allow themselves an opportunity to dedicate their time on the table to their healing.
Jaclyn’s approach is heavily influenced by a deep curiosity in the metaphysical, knowing that our physical bodies emulate from that of our energetic anatomy. She bridges the gap between the physical and the metaphysical by forming a functional approach to care. This is based on years of experience and education, coming from a Bachelors in Kinesiology from Michigan State University, as well as years serving others as a Yoga Instructor, Personal Trainer/Exercise Physiologist, and Holistic Health Coach.
Currently, Jaclyn offers a style of massage educated by various therapeutic techniques from her training at Irene’s Myomassology Institute, including general Relaxation Massage, Therapeutic Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage. She can also offer assisted stretching and mobility exercises informed by Thai Massage and Exercise Physiology education, which encourages clients to take what they learn off the table and into their lives! To explore the art of massage at the intersection of sound therapy, Jaclyn incorporates Sound and Vibration Healing into a unique session which includes Solfeggio Tuning Forks and a 528hz Quartz Crystal Singing Bowl. With a strong belief that movement is medicine, Jaclyn passionately maintains a consistent somatic practice of her own that is constantly growing, including various styles of dance, yoga, primal movement, strength training and calisthenics. In her free time, she also enjoys going for hikes in nature, educational reading, participating in drum circles, cosplay & crafting, adventuring, traveling, and spending quality time with loved ones.
