“As an Ann Arbor licensed massage therapist, I very much enjoy being a part of a person’s healing process. I strive to create a trusting relationship with my clients by encouraging them to be active and present in their own healing and strive for open communications,” explains Leah Shindelar, LMT.
I practice neuromuscular therapy (NMT), Swedish relaxation, myofascial release and also prenatal massage. I attended the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy and graduated in 2013. I’ve worked with many people experiencing chronic pain, people with acute injuries as well as people seeking to be relaxed and help relieve stress and tension. I have a special interest in clients dealing with TMJ dysfunction including those that suffer from jaw clenching or bruxism.
“Aside from being a LMT I’m also a dog mom! Cookie loves getting doggy massage and tummy scratches,” Leah shares. I enjoy crocheting and creating things and have a great love for board games!
Leah is excited to be part of a growing Ann Arbor massage practice and is available Monday thru Friday.
Leah’s Schedule:
Monday 11am – 7pm
Tuesday 10am – 1pm
Wednesday 11am – 7pm
Thursday 10am – 1pm
Friday 11am – 6pm
“I am thrilled to have Leah join Thrive Massage Ann Arbor because she has strong anatomical knowledge and hands-on skills regarding very specialized modalities including neuromuscular therapy, myofascial therapy and TMJ (Jaw) dysfunction,” explains Heidi Johnson, owner of Thrive. “I feel very fortunate to work with Leah because it’s challenging to find a highly qualified Ann Arbor TMJ Massage Therapist. TMJ dysfunction is a painful and complicated condition. She is a talented massage therapist because she has the ability to provide a deep state of relaxation for clients while at the same time relieving them from acute or chronic pain. Helping clients heal from chronic pain is her passion and I am confident that clients who visit Leah at our Ann Arbor Massage office will be well cared for.”
